Did you know that our brains can categorize people in as little as 120 milliseconds? This split-second judgment often fuels unconscious biases—like feeling more comfortable with those who seem “like us” or casually using non-inclusive language that subtly excludes others. Though unintentional, these biases can affect how we coach and connect with clients or team members.
Hearing is the act of perceiving sound. The ears and brain work together to process those varied sounds. You then identify what that is. Is it the sound of wind ? Or that of a door slamming shut.
Whilst many coaches are sincere in wanting to support their client towards achieving goals and aspiration, some are not as effective as others. In Part 1 of this article, we explore 4 qualities of a good coach, at least, in my humble opinion.
